Estate Administration:

Estate Administration (also known as Probate) is the process of distributing a person's assets after he or she has died. The process involves collecting a person’s assets, paying his or her debts and distributing or transferring the remaining property to the heirs or beneficiaries. A person can die with a Last Will and Testament in place or without a Will. In either event, the courts typically oversee this process and appoint an Executor or Administrator to handle the day to day tasks involved in the estate administration. If a person dies without a valid Last Will and Testament, it is up to the courts to decide how the estate will be distributed. Whether your loved one had a will or died without a will (intestate), The Blackburn Law Firm, PLLC can guide you through the process to ensure that all debts and taxes are paid, all disputes are resolved, and all assets are distributed properly.
